Samuele Serci has been appointed Microsoft Advertising Italy Lead at Microsoft, where he will oversee the company’s advertising strategy and partner ecosystem in the Italian market.

The role places Serci at the center of Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to expand its presence in AI-powered advertising and retail media. Italy remains a key market as the company continues to scale its advertising capabilities and deepen relationships with enterprise partners.

Serci brings more than two decades of experience across digital media, enterprise sales, and platform partnerships. He has held several leadership roles within Microsoft, including Senior Client Director and Senior Enterprise Account Executive for Business Applications. Prior to this, he built his career across global technology platforms such as Salesforce, Google, Twitter, and Criteo. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly seven years at Yahoo in commercial roles.

In his new position, Serci is expected to focus on driving adoption of Microsoft’s advertising solutions, strengthening the partner ecosystem, and aligning regional strategy with the company’s broader push toward AI-led marketing systems.

The appointment reflects a wider industry shift toward data-driven and AI-enabled advertising, with platform players investing heavily in integrated solutions that combine media, data, and automation. Microsoft’s continued leadership investments in markets like Italy signal its intent to compete more aggressively in the evolving MarTech and AdTech landscape.
