Article content
Salesforce has appointed Ambhi Ganesan as Vice President, Agentic Tech Innovation, adding experienced AI and customer transformation leadership as enterprises move from experimentation with AI toward more autonomous, outcome-driven systems.
Ambhi joins Salesforce after an extensive career at IBM, where he worked with enterprise clients on applying AI to customer experience and business challenges across industries including retail, food service and healthcare.
From AI-Powered CX to Agentic Innovation
Ambhi's career has focused on the intersection of AI and customer experience, with projects ranging from helping retailers reduce stock-outs and improve product discovery to enabling faster service in drive-through environments and helping healthcare customers navigate benefits and claims.
That experience has shaped his view that customer experience remains central to how enterprises generate business value from technology.
At Salesforce, Ambhi will bring that perspective to the company's growing focus on agentic AI, helping organizations move beyond conventional chatbots toward AI-powered systems capable of more proactive, personalized and connected interactions.
Leading Agentic Innovation for Salesforce Professional Services
As VP, Agentic Tech Innovation, Ambhi will lead agentic innovation for Salesforce's Professional Services organization.
His mandate will focus on helping teams adopt agentic technologies at scale while ensuring that implementations are practical, trusted and aligned with measurable customer and business outcomes.
The role comes as enterprises increasingly explore how AI agents can operate across critical workflows spanning sales, service, marketing and other customer-facing functions.
Connecting AI With Customer Context
A key part of Salesforce's positioning in the agentic era is its access to customer context across enterprise workflows.
Ambhi believes this creates an opportunity to move AI experiences beyond isolated interactions and toward more seamless, personalized experiences across multiple channels and touchpoints.
His focus will be on helping Salesforce Professional Services teams translate that potential into reliable solutions for clients, while balancing speed, scale and trust.
A New Chapter After IBM
Ambhi described his time at IBM as an important period of learning and growth, crediting hundreds of colleagues and mentors for helping shape his career.
His move to Salesforce represents a continuation of his work in AI and enterprise transformation, while giving him a broader mandate to help organizations apply agentic technologies to customer experiences and business workflows.
He will work closely with Kedar Mahadeshwar, Lori Steele and the wider Salesforce team as the organization expands its agentic innovation capabilities.
Looking Ahead
As enterprises shift from AI pilots toward production-scale deployments, the focus is increasingly moving toward systems that can take action, work across workflows and deliver measurable outcomes.
Ambhi's appointment places him at the center of that transition, with a mandate to help Salesforce Professional Services move faster with agentic innovation while maintaining the trust and reliability enterprise customers require.
