Delinea Fastpath Introduces MCP Server to Accelerate Access Risk Analysis and Audit Readiness

Article content
Delinea has introduced Fastpath MCP Server, a new capability designed to help organizations analyse application access risks and improve audit readiness through AI assistants. Announced on October 22, 2026, the solution uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to enable finance, IT, audit, and compliance teams to query access governance data in natural language and receive actionable insights across connected business applications.
The launch addresses a common challenge in enterprise access governance: identifying and prioritising segregation of duties (SoD) conflicts and other access risks across complex enterprise resource planning (ERP) environments. When thousands of potential conflicts emerge, teams can struggle to determine which issues require immediate attention, delaying remediation and audit preparation.
Fastpath MCP Server allows users to query live Fastpath data through natural-language questions, helping them identify material risks, review outstanding access assessments, and determine where mitigating controls may be missing. The capability connects to existing data without requiring migration, enabling teams to work with information from their integrated applications.
Bringing AI Into Access Governance Workflows
The new capability is designed to reduce the manual effort involved in analysing access data and preparing for audits. Rather than exporting information into spreadsheets and reconciling records across systems, teams can ask questions about access reviews, user permissions, roles, controls, and segregation of duties risks.
According to Delinea, the server supports visibility across more than 100 connected cloud and on-premises applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, Salesforce, and Workday. More than 30 native connections enable fine-grained risk analysis down to the lowest securable object, using application-specific rulesets informed by the COSO framework and ISACA remediation best practices.
Jason Mitchell, EVP of Product & Technology at Delinea, said the capability is intended to help customers turn access data into decisions more efficiently. Finance teams and business application owners can ask questions in their own words and receive prioritised answers grounded in the data already used for auditing.
The announcement also included a customer perspective from Neil Poynton, Director of ERP at Chromalox, who highlighted the time previously spent building Excel lookups and manually combining information. He said the new capability would enable teams to retrieve information from Delinea Fastpath more quickly using plain-language queries.
Security and Audit Controls Remain Central
The introduction of AI-assisted access analysis also raises questions about data governance and the boundaries of AI access. Delinea states that Fastpath MCP Server is read-only and operates within each user's existing permissions, preventing connected AI assistants from changing information in Fastpath.
Fastpath is independently audited under SOC 1 Type 2 and SOC 2 Type 2. Delinea says responses are generated from the same governed environment that supports auditors' assessments of IT general controls and access controls associated with financial reporting.
By combining conversational AI access with existing governance data and permission boundaries, the capability aims to help enterprises improve the speed of risk analysis without replacing established control frameworks.
As organizations introduce AI assistants into business workflows, connecting these tools to governed enterprise data could become an important consideration for access oversight, compliance, and audit operations.
