Confido Health has secured $22.5 million in total Series A funding to expand its AI-powered platform for healthcare operations, as the company moves beyond voice AI toward a broader system of administrative automation.

Announced on October 14, 2026, the funding includes a new $12.5 million Series A extension led by Z47, following an earlier $10 million Series A round announced in September. Healthcare private equity veteran Justin Saks joins as an investor and board advisor, while existing investors Together Fund and Blume Ventures also participated.

The investment will support the expansion of CareOS, Confido Health's agentic AI platform, which is designed to help medical practices automate operational tasks and coordinate work across existing healthcare systems.

Moving beyond voice AI

Confido Health began with voice AI designed to manage patient communications for healthcare practices. The company is now expanding that approach to address the administrative workflows that often follow a patient interaction.

A call may lead to an appointment, referral, insurance verification, prescription refill or payment follow-up. These tasks can involve multiple systems and require staff to coordinate information and next steps.

Confido's CareOS platform aims to connect these activities through AI agents that can carry out workflows across a medical practice, rather than simply respond to individual calls.

The shift reflects the company's broader ambition to move healthcare operations from systems that primarily store information towards systems that can act on it.

Addressing administrative pressure in healthcare

Healthcare providers face growing pressure to maintain access to care while managing administrative workloads and staffing constraints.

Confido Health is positioning its technology as a way to increase operational capacity by automating repetitive tasks and helping existing teams manage more work.

The company reports that its AI agents achieve handle rates above 95% across critical end-to-end office use cases. It also says customers gain the equivalent of three to five full-time employees' worth of additional operational capacity, on average, within three months of deployment.

These figures are company-reported measures of operational performance. Their practical impact will depend on the workflows deployed, the needs of individual practices and how the technology is integrated into existing operations.

Integrating with existing healthcare systems

A key part of Confido's approach is working with the systems medical practices already use.

The company says CareOS integrates with more than 50 systems of record, including electronic health records, practice management platforms, phone systems, billing systems and fax infrastructure. This allows its AI agents to operate across existing workflows without requiring practices to replace their current technology stack.

Confido also reports that its agents support healthcare access for approximately one in every 50 Americans. The company says its platform serves more than 1,500 sites across 27 states, supporting approximately 3,200 providers.

These figures indicate the scale at which Confido is seeking to extend its platform across healthcare operations.

Investor backing for the next phase

The Series A extension was led by Z47, with Together Fund and Blume Ventures participating alongside Justin Saks.

The new capital is intended to support the development and expansion of CareOS as Confido builds beyond its initial voice AI offering. The company's focus is on connecting administrative processes across medical practices, with the aim of reducing operational friction for healthcare teams.

The funding also comes alongside a broader brand evolution, reflecting Confido's positioning as an agentic AI platform for healthcare operations rather than a voice AI product alone.

Moving healthcare forward

Confido Health's next phase will focus on expanding the role of AI across the administrative work that supports patient care.

The company argues that automating these processes can help medical staff devote more capacity to patients while reducing the burden of repetitive coordination across disconnected systems.

As healthcare providers explore how AI can support operational efficiency, the challenge will be to demonstrate that automation can work reliably within complex healthcare environments while complementing the people responsible for delivering care.

Confido's $22.5 million Series A funding provides additional backing for that effort, with CareOS at the centre of its plans to expand across healthcare operations.
