Veronika Belokhvostova Joins Airbnb as Vice President, Data Science

Airbnb has appointed Veronika Belokhvostova as Vice President, Data Science, strengthening its leadership team as the company continues to evolve beyond accommodations into a comprehensive travel marketplace.

In her new role, Veronika will oversee Data Science across Airbnb's core business functions, including Guest and Host experiences, Trust, Community Support, Payments, and Marketing. Her appointment comes at a significant moment for Airbnb as it expands its platform to support a broader range of travel-related services and experiences.

Sharing the news, Veronika highlighted Airbnb's ongoing transformation into what the company describes as an "everything marketplace" for travel. The platform is increasingly extending beyond traditional stays into additional offerings such as travel experiences, transportation services, and other solutions designed to support travelers throughout their entire journey.

As Airbnb broadens its ecosystem, data and artificial intelligence are expected to play an increasingly important role in shaping customer experiences, improving operational efficiency, strengthening trust and safety, and supporting business growth. Veronika will focus on strengthening the role of data in decision-making while helping drive revenue growth, market expansion, and the development of new offerings.

She will report to Ahmad Al-Dahle, Airbnb's Chief Technology Officer, who leads the company's technology strategy, platform development, and AI initiatives.
